LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - 25-year-old Vidal Andres Enrique Mayorga of Lorenzo was indicted by a Lubbock Grand Jury on Tuesday, charged with aggravated robbery after confessing to police that he pistol-whipped a man and stole his pickup truck on May 27, according to court documents.

The documents say it happened in the 2100 block of 29th Street.

Mayorga confessed to holding a man at gunpoint and demanding the keys to his pickup. The victim told police that Mayorga fired two rounds into the ground before pistol-whipping him.

The victim says Mayorga took the keys to his pickup but gave his house keys back. The report says Mayorga also had the victim show him how to put the manual pickup in reverse.

The pickup was abandoned and found few weeks later. The pickup truck had been vandalized, the tires were flattened and the interior damaged. The police report says a homeless man admitted to vandalizing the pickup truck because he believed it was filled with uranium and wanted to prevent anyone from driving away in it.

Mayorga remains in the Lubbock County Detention Center on a $250,000 bond.
