Ohio fugitive wanted in kidnapping, rape case captured in Lubbock

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A wanted fugitive out of Ohio has been captured in Lubbock.

On July 5th, at approximately 4:15 p.m., investigators with the U.S. Marshals Service, including  Lubbock Police Department and DPS task force officers, arrested 28-year-old David Ramos Contreras in a home near 21st Street and Avenue P.

Contreras was wanted out of Ohio by the Bowling Green Police Department for two counts of kidnapping and two counts of rape in connection to a case involving juveniles.

Contreras is being booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center and will be extradited to Ohio at a later date.

Marshals are still searching for Arnulfo Ramos and Juan Garcia Rios Adiel, also wanted in this case.

The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force and Bowling Green Police are seeking assistance from the public in locating these two suspects. Ramos previously lived in Texas while Adiel lived in Florida.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of these fugitives is encouraged to contact the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force at:  1-866-4-WANTED or text keyword WANTED and the tip to TIP411 (847411).

Tipsters may remain anonymous and a cash reward may be available. The U.S. Marshals Service is currently offering up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest of the remaining two fugitives.
