Jury selection has begun in the trial of 31-year-old Bobby Ruiz of Hobbs, NM, the last of four suspects charged in a double homicide that happened in Gaines County back in May of 2012.

John Allen, 30, and Jay Doyal, 29 were found dead with gunshot injuries at a residence near the intersection of CR 306 and CR 349 in far western Gaines County, near the Texas-New Mexico state line.

38-year-old Nicomedias Daniel "Dan Dan" Sosa is serving a 33-year sentence after working out a plea agreement in the case.

The other co-defendants, Juan Castillo and Desirae Mata were convicted by separate Gaines County juries and are each serving life sentences.
