LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Police are investigating a stabbing that happened around noon in the area of 39th Street and Avenue N.

Police say a "group of guys" jumped out of a gray SUV and stabbed a man who was with his fiance. The suspects then left the scene. The woman with him called 911.

The 32-year-old male victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Police say his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

No arrests have been made at this time. This assault will be investigated by the LPD Domestic Violence Squad.
