Woman in critical condition after being struck by vehicle

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A woman has been taken to the hospital by EMS after being struck by a vehicle right before the intersection of north Avenue U and Clovis Road on Friday night.
Officers tell us she was crossing the street when she was struck by a red Ford Mustang. Police are speaking with the driver on scene. They do not believe alcohol was a factor in this accident.
The call came in at 9:18 p.m.
Officials tell us the woman was in critical condition but is now stable at UMC.
