Plains Cotton Growers, Inc., expresses gratitude and appreciation to U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue, the USDA, and the Trump Administration for providing trade relief payments to farmers.
"We thank Secretary Perdue, the USDA, and the Trump Administration for honouring their commitment to U.S. farmers and ranchers and making sure that they do not bear the brunt of these trade disputes," PCG President Stacy Smith said. "For a long time now, we've had to deal with countries around the world, including China, who do not play by the rules when it comes to trade, which puts our farmers at a competitive disadvantage. We commend President Trump and Secretary Perdue for providing this much-needed support to agriculture in the short term as we continue to work toward longer-term trade agreements that are fair and open."
