Lubbock Air Force veteran shows off his new smile
LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Charles Martin is showing off a new smile thanks to the Smiles for Soldiers program and Dr. Robert Ioppolo of Hill & Ioppolo Oral and Facial Surgeons of Lubbock.
Martin, a resident of Wilson, TX, served in the Air Force for seven years as an aircraft mechanic and had been living with broken and decayed teeth up until now.
He was chosen in November to receive a full-arch restoration treatment, a procedure typically costing $35,000, completely free of charge
Dr. Ioppolo finalized the procedure by inserting a permanent set of teeth to a fixed hybrid bridge
Dr. Ioppolo's office says, "The new implants look, feel and act like natural teeth. Now Charles is pain-free, can enjoy the foods he loves and wear his smile with confidence."
Kase Wilbanks first spoke with Martin when the program was announced back in 2017.
