LUBBOCK, TX (AP) - Some changes coming in your forecast, but it may not be what you're hoping for this week.
Starting with temps, they will be climbing starting on Wednesday and return to the 90s into the weekend.
The overnight lows will be mild with readings in the low to mid 60s with some upper 50s in the northwest south plains.
Wednesday will be hot with highs back in the low 90s for Lubbock and most areas and a slim chance of any rain.
Late Wednesday evening storms could move from New Mexico southeast into the region and continue into early Thursday. Right now, chances are about 20-30 percent with favored areas the western south plains once again.
By Thursday into the weekend the rain chances will be low and daytime temps will be back in the 91-95 degree range.
