LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - One woman has been hospitalized after a shooting in the 2200 block of 47 Street, on Tuesday afternoon, a block south of Clapp Park on 47 and Ave. V.

The shooting happened just before 4:30 p.m.

Police tell us the woman suffered moderate injuries and was dropped off at the hospital by private vehicle. The driver did not stay at the hospital with the shooting victim.

Video sent to KCBD just moments after the shooting shows the incident started with a fist fight and ended with nearly 30 shots fired.

At least one vehicle and multiple homes were hit by gunshots. The woman currently in the hospital is the only one with reported injuries as of Tuesday night.

Many of the neighbors around the shooting were families, some with small children.

"The neighbors have little ones, I have two grand kids that live here with me, and their (neighbors) kids are always outside." said Sandra Munoz, a nearby resident. "They were getting wet right when this happened and they're always outside, you see all the toys you know. It's a scary thing because one of those bullets could have hit one of ours kids."

The road was clear as of 7 p.m.

Detectives with the LPD Persons Crimes Unit and the Texas Anti-Gang Center are investigating the incident.
