Lubbock County Chief Medical Examiner stops taking new cases ahead of planned retirement, Oct. 1

LUBBOCK COUNTY, TX (KCBD) - Dr. Sridhar Natarajan, Chief Medical Examiner for Lubbock County has stopped taking new cases, in preparation for his official retirement on Oct. 1.
Natarajan told Lubbock County Commissioners he wants to wrap up any cases that he was already working on and expects them to be finished by his retirement date.
The court has contracted other doctors to carry on any new cases that come up starting Wednesday.
