UPDATE: AT&T says the issue with phones not being able to call 911 has been resolved as of 6 p.m. Thursday.

Provided by Lubbock Police Department

AT&T has advised the Lubbock Police Department that their Lubbock office on Frankford Avenue is experiencing some difficulties, meaning some calls from AT&T cell phones with the following prefixes WILL NOT be able to dial 911:

Those prefixes are...

806-794
806-798
806-783
806-698

This includes calling and texting 911.

If your cell phone is one of these prefixes, and you are INSIDE city limits and have an emergent situation, please call 775-2865, OR 763-5333

If you are OUTSIDE city limits and have an emergent situation, please call 775-1600 OR 775-1480.

At this time there is no word on when the issue will be resolved, but we will keep you updated as soon as we have more information.
