(KCBD) - Officials with NASA will announce the flight crews for the first flights of its Space X Crew Dragon and Boeing CST-100, both of which are part of its new Commercial Crew Program.
The program has worked with industry companies to help in developing human spaceflight systems with safe, reliable and cost-effective systems to access the International Space Stations, according to the NASA website. Eight astronauts will be selected on Friday and the announcement will be made by NASA and shown through a live stream.
The flights are scheduled to take place in mid-2019, according to Spacenews.com.
