Texas Anti-Gang Center makes arrest in July shooting

(LUBBOCK, TX) – Roger Lusk, 18, is now in custody charged with aggravated assault in connection to a July 10th shooting in the area of 19th Street and Avenue O. Lusk, who had an outstanding warrant for his arrest, turned himself in last night to investigators with the Texas Anti-Gang Center.

This arrest is the result of a joint investigation by TAG, the Lubbock Police Department and Lubbock County Sheriff's Office.

In the early morning hours of July 10th, investigators responded to a call of shots fired in the 1900 block of Avenue O. It appeared a suspect or suspects fired multiple shots out of a vehicle toward a home. Several people were standing in the front yard at the time of the shooting. Luckily, no one was struck.

Through the joint investigation, Lusk was identified as a suspect in the shooting and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Lusk is now in the Lubbock County Detention Center.

This case remains under investigation by TAG.
