Leo Diaz arrested, charged with 5 robberies

Man charges with 5 robberies

Leo Diaz, 19, is now in the Lubbock County Detention Center charged with five recent robberies at businesses spanning from July 15th to August 2nd.

Detectives with the Lubbock Police Department Persons Crimes Unit were investigating several robberies where the suspect had the same physical description. Through the investigations, they identified Leo Diaz as a possible suspect.

On August 23rd, detectives located Diaz and brought him to the Lubbock Police Department for questioning. After further investigation, Diaz was arrested and charged with the robberies at the following locations:

Marble Slab Creamery at 4210 82nd Street on July 15th
EZ Mart at 4426 34th Street on July 19th
7-Eleven at 2608 Avenue Q on July 23rd
Dollar General at 2705 Clovis Road on July 24th
Dominos at 4921 34th Street on August 2nd

During each of these robberies, the suspect demanded money from the cash registers. In addition to the five robberies, Diaz was also charged with failure to identify.
