"Thank God I had the vehicles in the garage last night," said Richard Huey, a resident of Southwest Lubbock, said.

Days like this are why Huey says he has 13 security cameras.

"I have security cameras on my house just in case something ever happens to my yard, my house, my neighbor's house, or any of the kids in the neighborhood," Huey said. "That way I would have it on video."

Huey says police are welcome the video should a situation like this every happen to him.

"If they ever want to look at my cameras or my videos, they're welcome to it. That's what they're here for."
