State approves funds for Post, Lamesa airport improvement
State gives Lamesa, Post airports improvement funding

(KCBD) - The Texas Transportation commission has approved nearly $3 million in funding for both the Post-Garza County Airport and Lamesa Municipal Airport.
About $1.1 million has been approved for the Post airport that would go towards electrical improvements in the facility, according to a Texas Department of Transportation news release. That project will be funded through the City of Post, Garza County and TxDOT's Aviation Facilities Grant Program.
Lamesa will be given about $1.6 million for both electrical and pavement improvements to the facility. That project is also being funded by the City of Lamesa, Dawson County and TxDOT's grant program.
