LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Emergency officials, including the Lubbock Police Department SWAT, were deployed to an address near 24th and Avenue O in central Lubbock on Tuesday afternoon.

An officer on the scene said a narcotic search warrant was issued and the ballistic engineered armored response vehicle, the BEAR, was used to break through the metal doors of the house in the 1500 block of 24th Street around 4:30 p.m.

Police say investigators were able to locate cocaine inside the home during the search.

As a result of the search warrant, police say five people were arrested. Four people were arrested for unrelated outstanding warrants. One person, Kevin Runels, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and tampering with evidence.
