The Browning fire in Scurry County has been extinguished, officials say.
The fire started Saturday near a windmill farm on HWY 84 near Fluvanna. Officials say it started because of a downed power line.
The fire burned about 3,000 acres, and people on Lake Alan Henry reported seeing thick clouds of smoke coming from the wildfires.
According to the Texas Forest Service, a subdivision with about 100 homes was threatened for a time, but Scurry County officials say that no structures burned.
