Babies are born two at a time now more than ever

Babies are born two at a time now more than ever. One in every 30 newborns has a twin brother or sister. That's according to a new report from the Centers for Disease Control, which says the rate of twin births has jumped 76-percent since 1980.
The experts say new technology and fertility drugs account for the majority of multiples. Also because women are waiting longer to have children, and twins are more likely to occur naturally in older moms.
According to the March of Dimes, the trend is not as cute as it sounds. "The unintended consequences of increasing multiple birth is not a good thing, and one needs to find a way of controlling that."
The concern is that multiple births come with a greater risk to the baby from early deliveries and low-birth weight.
