Lubbock County Republicans and Lubbock County Democrats are hosting separate debate watching parties for the first presidential debate Wednesday night.
The Lubbock County Republican Party will host a watch party Wednesday at Mr. Gatti's Pizza, 5001 50th Street at 7 p.m. They encourage attendees to come out early and enjoy the complete pizza buffet, which is $8.29 for adults, $6.29 for seniors and children under 12 and $5.29 for children under 7.
Lubbock Democrats will gather to watch debate at Belly's Cafe, 1406 Ave Q at 7 p.m. Party Chair Kenny Ketner says all three Presidential debates as well as the Vice Presidential debate will have watch parties hosted by the Lubbock County Democratic Party at 7 p.m. at Belly's Cafe. The remaining dates are 10/11, 10/16, and 10/22.
Wednesday night's presidential debate begins at 8 p.m. CST. The debate, which will be broadcast live on all major networks and cable news channels, will focus on domestic policy. Jim Lehrer, host of NewsHour on PBS, will moderate the debate.
