The Plainview Police department is seeking the public's help in locating a missing Plainview woman.
24-year-old Ashlee Davis Quevedo was reported missing on Wednesday, Dec. 18. But her mother says she last saw her on Thursday, Aug. 15 in Plainview and last spoke to her on Wednesday, Aug. 21.
Quevedo's mother, Robin Davis, said she hired a private investigator to locate her daughter. But since the investigator has been unable to find her, she went to law enforcement for help.
Davis says it's not like her daughter to just get up and leave. She says Quevedo has a son who Davis is now caring for.
"It's been a very long four months and we've all been worked to the bone in trying to do everything we can to find her," said Davis.
She told police she became very worried when she spoke with some of Quevedo's friends who told her she could be in trouble.
Davis says Quevedo may have gotten involved with the wrong crowd.
Captain of the Plainview Police Department Manuel Balderas said there has been some activity on Quevedo's credit report just this month in Hobbs.
Davis says she is just trying to hold onto hope in a tough time.
"We have been searching and we love her more than anything. We've been doing everything to try to find her," she said.
Ashley Quevedo is described as 5'4 with blonde hair and brown eyes.
She has three tattoos, one from her wrist to the middle of her arm. Davis describes it as a pattern with "girly colors." The other tattoo is across her chest that reads "came, saw conquered." The other tattoo is an "R&J" on the back of her neck.
If you have any information on Quevedo, you are asked to call 296-1182.
