Students at Plainview ISD will have to fulfill more requirements if they want to walk across the stage at graduation.
Right now, the district allows students to participate, as long as they complete all of the required course work.
Last night, the school board voted to change the policy.
Starting in 2015, students will be required to pass state testing in order to take part in commencement.
According to the Plainview Herald, a special August ceremony will be held for those who have to complete testing during the summer.
Lubbock ISD already requires students to pass state testing and coursework, in order to take part in commencement.
