DPS troopers have captured a suspect who led them on a chase, then left his vehicle and ran into a field on Tuesday evening, when troopers tried to stop him for an expired registration.
It happened at CR 5850, east of FM 2528 (Frankford Avenue) around 5:15 p.m.
DPS representatives say the driver, 36-year-old Larry Lutrick of Abernathy, "exited the vehicle and took off running." He was found hiding in a nearby business and was taken into custody without incident.
At this point they say he is only wanted for an expired registration and for evading.
