LPD: Facebook post claims woman is deliberately spreading HIV

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Police are looking into a Facebook post that's causing concern in Lubbock.
It states that a woman is deliberately spreading HIV.
While it was first posted in July, the message continues to be shared.
Lubbock Police tell us they are aware of the message.
And right now, they're checking into whether or not anyone has claimed to be a victim.
Police tell us that intentionally infecting or attempting to infect someone with a deadly virus would be considered aggravated assault, which is a felony.
Family members of the woman tell us someone maliciously set up this page using her picture.
