LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A few locations across the South Plains received heavy rainfall Sunday.  Gail reported 0.84" of rain for the highest Texas Tech Mesonet report received.

There were also unofficial radar estimates of up to one inch of rain in Bailey County southwest of Muleshoe near the Texas/New Mexico state line.

Storms were spotty in nature.  A wall of dust pushed through Lubbock as storms to our south collapsed.

Intervals of clouds and sunshine are expected Monday with scattered showers popping up again.

Just like Sunday, some of the storms could produce heavy downpours, wind gusts up to 45 mph and frequent lightning.

High temperatures warm into the upper 80's and lower 90's most areas.

Storm coverage will become very isolated Tuesday and we should be dry Wednesday and Thursday with warmer temperatures on the way.
