Funeral services scheduled for two Lubbock children
LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Funeral services have been scheduled for two children found dead alongside their father at a Lynn County roadside park.
Garett Jonah Contreras, age 5, and Avery Hannah Contreras, age 23 months, died on Friday, July 15. Texas Rangers are investigating the deaths as a possible murder-suicide.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, at Trinity Church in Lubbock, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening at Englund's Funeral Home in Slaton, Texas. Memorial donations may be made to the Ronald McDonald House.
