LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Organizations throughout Lubbock and surrounding communities are hosting back-to-school events to help students get ready for the new school year.
Back-to-School Vaccine Clinics:
- August 22 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. @ 2015 50th Street
- September 7 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. @ 2015 50th Street
- September 19 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. @ 2015 50th Street

Thursday, July 25
Lubbock ISD Drive-Thru Registration event
For families checking items off of their back-to-school list, Lubbock ISD is here to help! The district is hosting the fifth-annual Drive-Thru Registration event on Thursday, July 25 from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. at Monterey High School on 50th St. and Indiana Ave. to assist families with registration for the 2024-2025 school year.

Frenship ISD registration for elementary and middle school campuses

The Mom Lounge Back-to-School-Bash
Bring the whole family and enjoy our back to school bash. Your ticket includes 2 adults and one child. Additional Children are $15. We will have chick-fil-a, desserts, balloon animals, play, and @Frostbrewhouse beer for mom and dad. Also, pop into our newest Yoga class and learn about our Fall Class Schedule for a discounted price.

Enjoy a night out with live Mariachi music, hot dogs and chips, a movie in the park and a free backpack with school supplies give-a-way! Tuesday, August 6 at Rodgers Park located at 3200 Amherst starting at 7 p.m.

Covenant Health Back-to-School Bash
Covenant Health is excited to host our annual Back-to-School Bash for the third year in a row. Kids can fulfill all their back-to-school health requirements by getting their immunizations and physicals done at our bash from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 3rd at the Covenant Medical Group Northwest Clinic at 611 N. Frankford Avenue.
Foster *A* Life’s Hub City Beach Party
Get ready for some more fun in the sun! It is time for the 19th Annual Hub City Beach Party! With more games planned, this year is not to be missed!
- When: Saturday August 3rd, 2024
- Where: Depot Patio at 608 18th Street. (Just before I-27) Time: Gates open at 6:00, concert starts at 7:00
- Who: The Landsharks (Jimmy Buffet Tribute band)

Texas Tech Parents Association Student Send-Off Celebration
Red Raider Students and their Parents are invited to enjoy a fun event to celebrate the beginning of a new academic year. Saturday, August 3 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Red Raider Outfitters 1305 University Ave. You must register and purchase tickets to attend
Redeemer Lutheran Church mini-VBS and school supply giveaway
Redeemer Lutheran Church will offer a mini-VBS and school supply giveaway on Saturday, August 3, 2024, from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. Sign up starts at 9:30 a.m. inside the parish hall (enter on the east side of the building by the parking lot). Hockley County VOICES Coalition Back-to-School Backpack Giveaway
Backpacks will be distributed in the drive-through at Capitol Elementary from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, August 3. Capitol Elementary is located at 401 Ellis Street.
Green Lawn Church of Christ Backpack Giveaway
Saturday, August 3 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Green Lawn Church of Christ located at 5701 19th Street.

Lubbock Dream Center Back-to-School Bash
Before the start of a new school year, the Lubbock Dream Center gives away over 1200 backpacks filled with age-appropriate school supplies for families in need to ensure that children start off their year with confidence.
Our 2024 Back To School Bash will be held on Saturday, August 10th! We are looking for people who want to help us make our goal to giveaway 1200 backpacks filled with supplies! By donating $30/backpack you are helping students start school in a positive and prepared way!!
Saturday, August 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Mae Simmons Community Center. Bring your family and friends for a day of excitement and community spirit. Sunday, August 11
Rendezvous Hair is having a back-to-school haircut drive Sunday, August 11 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. The studio, located at 1102 Slide Rd. Unit 31, will offer free haircuts & hotdogs while you get a chance to shop with local vendors.
