COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - Support is pouring in for an 18-year-old from Caldwell who lost her life on Monday morning while driving to school.

With the family’s permission, members of Aggieland Christian Church have shared a fundraising page to help with funeral-related expenses for Olivia Eichholz.

“Most importantly, we ask that you please lift Olivia’s family in prayer, for comfort, peace, and strength in the days ahead,” said Alexis Kohler, a member of the church where Olivia attended services, events, and camps.

“Olivia was just 2 weeks away from graduating high school and was such a bright, joyful presence who loved people deeply and brought so much life and energy to those around her. She leaves behind her parents, sister, and brother,” said Kholer.

“She lived with a heart for service. As a dedicated JROTC student, Olivia dreamed of joining the United States Air Force and serving something greater than herself. She loved connecting with people from all walks of life and was learning Mandarin Chinese and Spanish so she could reach and relate to even more people,” according to the GiveSendGo page.

Olivia was on her way to ILTexas Aggieland School in College Station when, for a reason not known, her vehicle went into oncoming traffic on FM 60 near Easterwood Airport.

A memorial has been set up on the campus, and the school’s founder shared a statement on Monday, saying Olivia’s passing was “devastating,” and said the senior was loved and respected by students and staff.

“More than anything, Olivia loved her family. She deeply cherished her parents, Christopher and Christina, her younger sister Natalie, and her younger brother Maxwell, who has special needs and was a constant source of love and inspiration in her life,” the GiveSendGo page says.

The wreck is still under investigation by the College Station Police Department.
